NIPI ONGM IMPLEMENTED A HAZOP PROCEDURE IN UFA
In June and July 2016, NIPI ONGM’s office in Ufa conducted a hazard and operability study (HAZOP procedure) as part of the project named "West Salym field infrastructure development. Installation of a tubular free water knockout. The first phase of construction".
The hazard and operability study of the unit was carried out by a workgroup consisted of experts from OOO NIPI ONGM (Research & Design Institute for Oil&Gas Field Development), as well as from the Design and Production Department of the Salym Petroleum Development company. The study used a methodology complying with IEC 61882 Guide for hazard and operability (HAZOP) studies, as well as Russian GOST R 51901.11-2005.
Based on the results of the HAZOP study, certain measures were elaborated as recommendations to reduce and eliminate the identified deviations or sources of danger in the design documentation. Upon introduction of all necessary updates into the project, the resulting risks and their consequences will be eliminated.
